iPod 4gen B/W screen
February 16th, 2006 by George TyshchenkoGeneral performance: Very good
The audio performance of this generation iPods seems surprisingly good. The iPod’s digital-to-analogue converters are not far from reaching the level of professional audio equipment. According to both the RightMark tests and my personal observations the only disappointing property is the noticeable noise floor when the signal is present. This is partly due to a slightly limited dynamic range of the converter.
